SC EdTech 2011

I have to admit, I didn’t expect to find myself in Myrtle Beach at the end of October for SC EdTech this year but I’m here. So with that in mind this year I am pretending I have never been to this conference before in hopes that it wows me in some way.

One thing I am excited about is that I am here with my R2 team. I work with a great group of ladies and I’m looking forward to getting to know them a little better. We are presenting tomorrow so if you get the opportunity and you are at the conference come by M119 at 1:00 for The Cloud is Your Classroom.

I’m going to try to post about the conference while I’m here. I’ll definitely be on Twitter @msansonettiwood.

List for Santa in a mini album

Last week I was at a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators meeting and Sonia (a fellow demo) showed us how to create this adorable Gratitude mini album.

I love it and decided to take it to another holiday. I wanted something my step daughter could fill out for a Christmas list that we can turn in to a keepsake. I love the way it turned out.

I made a number of tabs to fill each pocket. Each tab has a different “starter” on it to give a little thought to asking for things for Christmas. “Good things I have done this year.” “One fun memory from this year.” “One thing I want to do better next year” “Tell one way you helped someone.” “Name 1 thing you REALLY want.” “My Christmas list for Santa” “Who am I?” (The last one is a little about the child for the keepsake: name, age, things she likes.)

Each page of the album is decorated a little different to have fun with the holiday season.

Halloween Boxes

Today I decided to make a few Halloween Boxes that my friend Debbie showed me how to make about a week ago. The boxes were featured in a Stampin’ Up! publication and are the cutest things ever! What a great idea for an adult Halloween party or have a few to pass out at work on Halloween. Just a little something to say Happy Halloween.

I made this set for a friend of mine at church. I found out last week he LOVES Halloween. So what a better way to say Happy Halloween than with a bag of these great pop-up boxes. I hope to surprise him on Sunday!

When you open the box … you get a piece of candy that pops out with a message. I could imagine these being adapted for any holiday. They are just adorable.
